Agriroots was born from a shared belief that traditional Nepali foods deserve a place in the modern world.
The journey began when four young entrepreneurs from different backgrounds came together with a common vision — to preserve the rich flavors of Nepali culture and present them in a way that today's consumers could easily enjoy. Leaving behind the comfort of regular jobs, they decided to take a bold step and build something meaningful from the ground up.
During their early experiments, the team explored many traditional foods, but one snack stood out for its deep cultural connection — Thekua. Loved across generations and often associated with festivals, family gatherings, and moments of togetherness, Thekua represented more than just a snack; it carried memories, tradition, and identity.
Inspired by this heritage, the founders focused on refining the recipe while maintaining its authentic taste. Their goal was simple: to keep the soul of the traditional recipe while improving quality, hygiene, and packaging so it could reach a wider audience.
What makes Agriroots even more meaningful is its connection with local communities. Skilled local women are part of the production process, helping preserve traditional cooking methods while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Today, Agriroots is more than just a snack brand. It is a journey to celebrate Nepali heritage, support communities, and share the warmth of authentic homemade flavors with the world.
"Our goal was never just to build a snack brand. We wanted to share the taste, culture, and stories of Nepal with the world."
